Katavi National Park
Situated in western Tanzania, Katavi National Park is a remote and less-visited park known for its unspoiled wilderness and abundance of wildlife. It offers vast plains, woodlands, and seasonal lakes that attract large herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. Katavi is renowned for its authentic and off-the-beaten-track safari experiences.
Selous Game Reserve
Located in southern Tanzania and far from the madding crowds, the Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere) is Africa's largest game reserve and one of our favourite wildlife viewing areas. This really is a hidden gem! The rivers and lakes of the Selous are the lifeblood of a park that hosts some fabulous game
Selous is renowned for its significant populations of elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and crocodiles. It also offers opportunities for boat safaris, walking safaris, and fly camping.
Ruaha National Park
Baobabs, kopjes and wide rolling grassland, Ruaha is a little visited but scenically stunning park that offers some of the best dry season game viewing in Tanzania. Ruaha safaris have reliably exciting predator concentrations, it is home to 10% of the world's lion population, contains one of four cheetah populations in East Africa and has the third largest wild dog population in the world.
