Chimps & Gorillas Experience in Uganda

Uganda is known for its incredible wildlife, and one of the highlights of visiting the country is the opportunity to have a gorilla experience. Uganda is home to about half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas, which are critically endangered. These gentle giants can be found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, both located in southwestern Uganda.

Once your group has located the gorilla family, you will be allowed to spend a precious hour in their presence. You'll have the opportunity to observe these majestic creatures up close, watching their behavior, interactions, and possibly even witnessing them feed or play. It's an incredible experience to see the gorillas in their natural habitat and appreciate their beauty and strength.

Various one to four-day hikes are available, each traversing different trails. Every route presents opportunities to encounter wildlife from the neighboring Amboseli National Park in Kenya, including herds of majestic elephants, eland antelope, buffalo, and even lions.
Opt for longer hikes to witness diverse rolling landscapes, featuring silvery glaciers, rocky ridges, and the lush Lemosho forest with its rainforest valleys. Every path promises spectacular views of Kilimanjaro's peaks on clear days, providing an unforgettable experience for those who choose to explore the captivating surroundings of the Shira Plateau.
