A Tanzania and Kenya safari is an excellent choice for wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers. These two East African countries offer some of the most renowned safari destinations in the world, with an abundance of diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and unique cultural experiences.

Kenya is a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 1,000 species of birds, including stunning flamingos at Lake Nakuru and Lake Bogoria. Amboseli National Park, Known for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arriving to Nairobi City - Kenya
    Arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, You'll be transferred from Airport to your hotel for relaxation and overnight. On your arrival to your hotel shortly brief about the safari will be done from our safari specialist, then dinner and overnight at Hemingways Nairobi Just 40 minutes’ drive from Nairobi’s international airport and set between Nairobi National Park and the foot of the Ngong Hills, Hemingways Nairobi Hotel is located to the South West of the city in the peaceful suburb of Karen.
  • Day 02: Fly from Nairobi to Loisaba Conservancy
    Fly this morning from Nairobi to Loisaba Conservancy, set on the Laikipia Plateau, an area larger than many of Kenya’s principal national parks. To the south, the grassy plains of the plateau break into valleys, cliffs and escarpments that frame stunning views up to snowy Mount Kenya. Enjoy lunch at the camp, followed by an afternoon game drive capped off with a Scenic Sundowner.

  • Day 03: Full Day Exploring Laikipia Plateau
    On an early morning game drive, immerse yourself in Loisaba Conservancy, a haven for more than 250 species of birds and 50 species of wildlife. In addition to elephants, buffalo and Grevy’s zebras, be on the lookout for the big cats, and even rare wild dogs. After your bush breakfast, Ride Like a Local on a camel — a traditional form of transport in the region. Later, enjoy one of these Design Your Day activities.
    Take a Walking Safari with a Samburu Guide to view and learn about the stunning diversity of Loisaba up close. Ride by Horse, drawing gently near plains and forest animals such as zebras, giraffes and even elephants. Visit an Anti-Poaching Dog Unit to discover their daily routine and watch an anti-poaching demonstration. Return to your camp for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. Later, enjoy dinner in camp on a relaxing evening under the stars at Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp
  • Day 04: Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
    After breakfast this morning, fly to the renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve. Here in the Masai Mara, a vast plain teeming with animals, discover the greatest concentration of species in the country. The action never seems to stop, and the chain of command begins with the Mara’s lion population, the largest in Kenya. After settling in, embark on a thrilling game drive followed by a Scenic Sundowner.
    Morning or afternoon safari are a great way to explore further afield and see some of the bigger wildlife, whereas the walks are a good chance to learn more about the smaller creatures in the ecosystem, enjoying the birdlife and tracking animals by their footprints. Later evening back to your lodge for relaxation followed dinner and overnight at Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara
  • Day 05-06: Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve
    Over the next two exciting days at your camp, drive across the sprawling savanna in search of abundant game in one of Kenya’s most spectacular game reserves. Running along the Tanzanian border, the Mara forms an essential part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Each year, more than a million wildebeest, alongside zebra and gazelle, march north to graze on the Mara’s lush grasses as part of the Great Migration’s annual cycle. Follow the Mara River to see crocodiles basking in the sun, hippos as they wallow in muddy water or monkeys swinging madly overhead through the trees.
    Later eveing back to your lodge for relaxation followed dinner and overnight at Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara
  • Day 07: Fly from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
    This morning, fly south to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. Covering 10,000 square miles, the Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous national park, home to dozens of species including antelope, hyenas, leopards, giraffes, lions, buffalo and cheetahs. After arriving at your camp, take part in a late afternoon game drive (time permitting) before sitting down to a delicious dinner.
    The landscape is a combination of nutritious grasslands and sparse woodlands: grassy areas dotted with Acacia trees. The entire ecosystem spans 30,000 km2 from north Tanzania extending to south-western Kenya.
    When it’s time to start the journey to your lodge or camp, your guide will drive you slowly with enroute game drive, on arrival to your lodge you will have time to refresh and relaxation waiting for dinner and overnight at Nimali Mara
  • Day 08-09: Game Drive in Sourthern Masai Mara
    Explore the Serengeti for two days, enjoying morning and afternoon game viewing in this vast, sun-drenched region. Rivers flow through the park, providing habitats for a variety of birds, mammals and reptiles, while antelope can be seen feeding on the plains. Search for Africa’s iconic Big Five, (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and Cape buffalo) as well as the lesser-known but fascinating Little Five (ant lion, leopard tortoise, elephant shrew, rhinoceros beetle and buffalo weaver), which may be hiding behind a stone or resting on an acacia branch.
    Return to your camp each day beneath a golden sunset. Nimali Mara for dinner and drinks around a campfire.
  • Day 10: Fly from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
    Today you will depart from the Serengeti by light aircraft to Manyara Airstrip. The journey that will take 1hr, On arrival you will be met and transferred the short distance to your lodge above the rim overlooking the crater, where you can relax and unwind after your safari. Overnight at Melia Ngorongoro
  • Day 11: Descending Down the Crater Floor for Game Drive
    This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wonderful haven for wildlife. Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls, hence you have the opportunity to find the game easily. Rhino in particular can be seen regularly, as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah.
    The crater spreads for 165km² and has 610m high walls, reminding you of Noah's ark because almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa can be seen here. It is one of the rare locations on the continent where you can witness the black rhino.
    After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo lake down the crater.
    The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a significant concentration of flamingos (seasons), a forest, and open plains. It is also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have massive tusks. The Ngorongoro Crater is truly a wonder of the natural world. Later we will drive through the crater wall back to our lodge Overnight at Melia Ngorongoro
  • Day 12: Transfer to Manyara Airstrip for flight to Arusha
    You will bid farewell to the team at Melia Ngorongoro and head back to the airstrip to catch your scheduled shared charter flight back to Arusha. This flight arrives in Arusha in the late afternoon, usually in time to connect with any International departures from Kilimanjaro International airport.
    We make a 15-minute drive by a private car to Sanaa, a local enterprise that employs people with physical disabilities. In this workshop, you will meet with locals, learn the basics of sign language, and see how these artisans come together to create unique, artisanal gifts. You may buy some to support them & after our visit, We will travel overland to Kilimanjaro International Airport, about a 1.5 hour drive.
